1) Snail Mittens from The Knitter’s Book of Yarn, a very nice book except that it has no patterns for men at all.
Cast on sometime in January. Hibernating until I feel like wearing mittens again.
2) Eye of Partridge Shawl, in Handmaiden Silk Cotton.
Cast on sometime in April. I love it, even though one of the women in my program asked me if I was knitting underwear. Now I can’t not think of it as the underpants shawl.
3) Pembrokeshire Pathways Socks, also cast on in April and now ready for the toe.
But I’m changing the toe from that in the pattern, because my feet are short and rather flat across the toes.
In other news, I have to turn in two papers Monday. I have not panicked yet today, perhaps because I decided to get a full night of sleep last night.

I agree about the Knitter’s Book of Yarn.
Oh dear… (I don’t think it looks like underwear…) but it makes for an interesting name
Good luck with those papers!

I didn’t think it did either, but then again, it was very small, and very triangular, when she saw it.
Thanks! Much to my surprise, I’m actually going to finish on time. (“On time” always being understood to be relative when turning it in involves e-mailing it to a Professor abroad.)
